Mary Janes On The Dinner Table

First let me say, yes I'm back.  Am I a complete goof ball, you bet!  I just can't shake the feeling that complete strangers are reading my journal, and looking at my princess.  Plus they could copy her picture and do anything they want with it.  Gives me the creeps.  I really tired to stay at blog spot, but I just couldn't do it.  I was even writing differently b/c I felt weird.  I was writing to strangers, I HATED that!  So I am back to stay.

Anyway.....today we went back to our old neighborhood in Pembroke Pines for the 3rd birthday party of our old neighbors daughter.  It was a really cute party, and Elizabeth had a good time.  They bought the little girl a barbie house and a barbie car for her birthday, and Elizabeth loved it.  Elizabeth does not have any barbies so it was cute to see her play with them.  I will have to keep barbie in mind for her third birthday.  We got home, and I fixed dinner and we sat down to eat.  After dinner Elizabeth had strawberries so she stayed at the table while I loaded the dishwasher.  After doing so I look up and see Elizabeth's little legs and feet on the table.  I tell her to please take her feet off of the table, and that we don't put feet on the table.  She then says something that I can't hear and proceeds to keep her feet on the table.  So I walk over to her and ask her again to please take her feet off of the table.  She then repeats what she said the first time, and this time I heard her.  She said "Daddy does it in his office".  I almost hit the floor!  She meant that Daddy puts his feet up on his desk in his office upstairs.  It was friggin CUTE the way she said it.  She was frowning, and her little feet with her little mary jane shoes looked so damn ADORABLE on the table!  Tom and I were rolling.  Needless to say after we ate her up for being so cute, we explained that putting feet up on a desk is very different from putting them up on the dinner table.  I love my little girl so much, she is the BEST EVER!

English Muffin Pizza

We had such a good time at school today. Again, I have as much fun as Elizabeth does! The kids made english muffin pizza today. Elizabeth was so cute putting the cheese on hers. She wanted nothing to do with the sauce, only the cheese! The she was sneaking bites of the cheese. Love it. Once it was cooked she decided she was not hungry so of course I ate the pizza. She was too interested in the story her teacher was reading, plus she was busy calling out the names of the vegtables in the book and on the flash cards. I was so proud of her speaking up on class! It was beautiful. After class we stayed in the livingroom and ate lunch with some of my mommy friends and their little ones. We talked about how it can be a bit isolating being a stay at home Mom. We all agreed how much we love it, but that at times we feel a bit lonley. It was nice to hear that other Moms feel the way I do at times. I'm so blessed to be a part of another Mommy group.

Staying Here

After checking out other places to blog I have decided to stay here in good old LJ land! The main reason I'm staying is because I just love to post pictures of my beautiful little girl, and it makes my stomach turn to think that on some of these other blog sites anyone and everyone can look at not only my journal, but my pictures as well. I just don't like the idea that strangers can read my journal and look at my pictures. Sooo I'm here to stay. I think I am also going to get a paid account.

Anyway.....I've had a very different start to my week. For the past couple of months Elizabeth has been doing this thing with her tongue when she is feeling nervous or shy. She kinda sticks it out a little, or she bites down with her teeth. Very hard to explain in words. So yesterday her teacher calls this to my attention, and tells me I should bring it up to our pediatrictian b/c it could be something with her jaw or tongue muscle. She also said she did not think it was anything to worry about and that it could just be a habit or that she is doing it when she feels nervous, anxious or shy. I told the teacher that I was aware of what she was doing, and that I was ignoring it b/c I did not want to draw attention to something that I felt Elizabeth would eventually stop doing. Ok, soooo I let what her teacher said get to me a little bit. How could I not, I love my daughter to death and it scares me to think that something could be wrong with her. To put my mind at ease I took her to the doctor today. Let me just say we have the BEST pediatrician. He is tops. He listened to me, and was so nice to both me and Elizabeth. He told me right away that we had nothing to worry about, and that what she was doing was just a little habit. He checked her out completely to make me feel better, and Elizabeth even did the tongue thing once so he was able to see what I was describing. He talked to me and assured me that Elizabeth has nothing wrong with her and that this tongue thing will pass (he then joked and said "then there will be something else to worry about"), he also told me to ignore it. He said we should not give her more or less attention when she does it, just ignore it and give a poker face. So I feel better. I also talked to him about the potty training. I started that with her today, and she went pee pee in her little underpants all day. Her doctor said to back off, and when she is ready it will be like a light switch went off and she will just start doing it. He said kids do it at all different ages, some are ready at 21/2, but most are not ready until closer to the third birthday. I'm going to stop the training for now, and try again next month. I'm not worried about it, I know it will happen when she is ready.

I helped Elizabeth make adorable Valentines Day cards today to send to her Grandparents and Aunt. We also made one for Daddy. She was so proud! I took her to the post office to mail them, and she loved that. She really likes to do crafts, it is so cute to watch her. She is just so much fun.

Library

We went to the library today, had a great time. Elizabeth loves books so much, and that makes me so happy. It wasn't until after we got home that I realized that I forgot to get the books about the consturction machines! That was the main reason we went to get books. I'm such a blonde sometimes :) Anyway we got some great books plus a few cute dvds and a lullabye cd with songs from the Beatles.

I'm looking into swingsets now. We want to get a really cool one for the backyard. I had one as a kid and I remember spending many happy hours playing on it. Elizabeth loves to swing and slide so she will be thrilled.

I just feel so lucky and blessed to be her Mommy. She is so beautiful, smart, loving, funny, .....I could go on and on. I love getting up in the morning to see her sleepy smile, I love her hugs and kisses, I love her smile, I love her laugh - I just LOVE her sooo much!

Wow has she grown!

God thank you so much for blessing me with this beautiful little person to love and nurture.

Fever

Ok I still have baby fever. Do I dare ask God to bless me again? I feel so blessed to have Elizabeth, so blessed in fact that I don't feel I have a right to ask for more. However, I don't believe that IVF will work if I don't have God there with me all the way. I spoke to Roseanne last night, she told me to make an appointment to come in and have a chat with her b/c many of her patients who did IVF have been able to conceive on their own the second time around. That would fantastic if we were able to do that. No shots! Yay! I think I will plan to see Roseanne next week. I don't want to start the whole trying to get pregnant thing (IVF or not) right away b/c I want to drop some weight first. Yes, I'm still working on that! I've been going to the gym every week, and doing WW, so far so good. I found out my friend Sally is pregnant again, I'm so happy for her! She tried to get pregnant for as long as Tom and I did, and it finally happened for her a year after we got pregnant with Elizabeth. Her son is named Aiden and now she is having another boy. So exciting!

I've been very busy decorating the house. I'm having a ball. I just finished the master bathroom, and it looks fabulous!!!! I love it so much. I keep walking in there to just look at it. I told Tom I want to serve dinner in there! It looks so "spa" like.

Elizabeth is wonderful as ever. She "cooks" in her kitchen everyday. I'm so glad Santa brought the kitchen. We have been going on walks everyday after her naps, we love it. She really likes to see all the machines that the construction people use. I am planning to take her to the library to get a book about the machines b/c she asks me the names of them as we stroll by them, and most of them I don't know. So we will both get an education in construction machinery!

Tom bought me a new desk this past weekend, and it arrives on Saturday so I am going to be busy cleaning out the guest/computer room tomorrow.

Well I guess that is enough rambling for now.
